Biography and Curriculum Vitae

As a licensed therapist and personal coach, I specialize in helping high achievers and young adults in transition overcome obstacles to achieve their goals. By providing supportive, practical feedback, a blend of conventional and creative approaches, my clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns to reach their fullest potential.

I had my own "quarter-life crisis" in my thirties and know from first hand experience the sense of urgency and the desire to create the "right" life which makes everything seem so overwhelming. Looking back, I can see the missteps, successes and adventures which taught me the importance of getting help at this important life juncture. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I was President and CEO of a Silicon Valley corporation for more than a decade. I founded the company, which soon became one of the most successful start-ups in San Jose. After building the company from the groud up, I sold the business and went back to school.

Working as an executive in a developing business, I know how isolating the life of a leader and manager can be. I have developed many tools to not just manage stress but to actually reduce or even eliminate the experience of stress.

With my extensive experience in both business and counseling, I enjoy working with professionals and executives in high stress jobs, as well as with entrepreneurs and leaders in the high tech, manufacturing, financial services, aerospace, health care and consulting fields.

I provide an integrative approach to psychotherapy by combining my extensive education and experience, including a Doctorate in Naturopathy and Masters in Psychology. This multi-disciplinary approach allows me to approach issues from a truly holistic perspective, helping the people I work with to feel better faster and appreciate lasting results.

When one door closes, another opens. But we often look so regretfully upon the closed door that we don't see the one that has opened for us.
