Where are you on your artist's path?
Just starting out?
Maybe someone told you that you ought to be selling your art, but you're not quite sure you're ready. Or perhaps you're exploring, but you don't know where to begin.
Emerging artist?
You have a solid body of work and you're testing the waters. You've gained some recognition, and you're ready to invest more energy in your art career.
Established artist?
You've been around awhile. You're known, but you might be in a rut. Or maybe you're heading a different direction and could use some ideas and support along the way.
What if you knew that you could take life changing risks and be supported and held in the process?
Artists need support more than anyone. It can be daunting to develop something from nothing. Where is the map? Who are the models?
Creativity is a fundamental part of life. Whether you follow your creative pursuits as a career or an avocation, whether you're an
artist or a CEO, it's important to express your creativity in some way, whether through painting or cooking or writing a great business plan.
For many of us, with the demands and obligations of life and jobs, our creative work falls low on the priority list, and we often
end up abandoning it. But we miss it and suffer the loss. Coaching can help you reintroduce creativity into your life and work with it
in a way that fits your needs and lifestyle. I work with many professionals, career transitioners, stay-at-home parents and retirees,
helping them integrate creatiivity back into their lives, whether through writing, painting, acting, singing, photography, cooking,
sewing - whatever their creative bent may be.
- Are you finding it hard to make time for your creative work?
- Did you abandon your creativity long ago and feel a need to revive it?
- Do you feel bogged down doing your creative work for a living and want to bring back the joy?
- Do you want to turn a creative avocation into a profession?
If you're a professional artist, coaching can help you to clarify your professional goals and achieve new heights in your creative
work, as well as recovering the pure joy of creation that you may have lost in making a living. Or perhaps you want to take what
has been an avocation and turn it into a profession or side business. Coaching is just the ticket for you.
So, whether you want to enhance your creative career, introduce more creativity into your work or nurture a meaningful avocation,
working with a coach can accelerate the process for you and make it more enjoyable.
Life responds when we take a risk
I have coached a variety of art professionals: designers, photographers, artists, architects, ad creatives, screenwriters,
journalists & authors, media professionals, musicians, performers and others in creative fields.
Beginning or mid-career artist professionals often experience a tangle of confusion or obstacles that hamper their creative
process or stall their careers.
I help my clients to clarify the inner obstacles to creative flow, and/or the outer obstacles to career growth. As greater clarity is
achieved, the cobwebs of confusion are lifted. Clients begin to undertake sensible new risks that renew momentum toward art career goals.
Various tools may be used, suited to your unique sensibilities: listing, researching, networking, outlining, journaling, meditation,
drawing, thought and energy shifting. Clients will be encouraged to use repetition and effective discipline in order to keep stretching
and accelerating toward the career goals defined.
As clarity is achieved, you will be empowered by a tailored structure leading you toward clarified goals on the inner or outer levels,
and often on both.
You will be guided into taking new and sensible actions that will build or increase your momentum forward.
Being an artist is about designing and pursuing your authentic life path. It's about living that life today and creating a deeper connection with your true nature or the truth of who you are. Imagine living your life on purpo
se, honoring your true nature, moving out of your comfort zones and taking risks to live a life as big as it can be.
