Clinical Practice Specialization
My clinical practice specialization focuses on using different psychotherapuetic theories along with
natural methods of healing. The idea of combining psychotherapy with natural therapies dates back to ancient times.
Hippocrates, a physician and philosopher who lived 2400 years ago, was one of the first to claim that emotional health
had a physiological and natural basis.
He often prescribed natural therapies, using nutrition, herbs, and various lifestyle changes.
It is interesting to note that Hippocrates is considered the father of both modern medicine and
naturopathic medicine, having coined the phrase "the healing power of nature."
In my clinical practice, I take pride in treating many people, from diverse economic, ethnic, and cultural
backgrounds for a variety of problems that come with being human. Emotional pain, depression, illness, loss, regret, emptiness,
transitions, recovery from family influences, yearning for change, opening to love, forgiveness, self acceptance, activating
one's spiritual practice, discovery of the true self, and finding one's unique place in this world are a sampling of the issues I frequently
work with.
Because of my extensive training in natural medicine, I have many tools that I bring to therapy that I use on an as needed basis.
These include hypnosis, EMDR, NLP, nutrition, and herbology.
While working with individuals, couples, families, and groups over the years, I have successfully addressed the following:
 Anxiety Relief
 Depression Relief
 Addiction Counseling
 Codependency
 Eating Disorders and Food Addiction
 Weight Management
 Assertiveness Training
 Building Self-Esteem
 Guilt and Shame Recovery
 Grief and Loss
 Stress Management
 Trauma Recovery
 Adoption Therapy

to stop running away from it.

so we are.
